Karoline's mom Cally writes:

"Hey Friends...if you go to the Academy store in the next month or two, keep your eyes open for Karoline.  In the section where they sell the school uniforms, she is on their in-store-signage.  Look for her with bushy pig tails, a white shirt and navy skort.  It's kind of cool."

Make A Difference in the Life of a Child.
CAI logo

Imagine being 6 years old and being awaken in the middle of the night by a stranger and being told that you have 5 minutes to collect your belongings before being sent to live with strangers.

Imagine being a 9 year old girl living in fear of the next time your mother's boyfriend visits your room in the middle of the night.

Imagine being 12 years old and being responsible for making sure your brothers and sister are fed and clothed because you are not sure when your parents might return home.

Unfortunately, these situations are all too real for many of Houston's children.  Child Advocates, Inc. steps in to be there for the child when so many others aren't.

The Page Parkes Corporation is dedicated to raising funds for this amazing organization.

For the third year in a row, the PPC has commited to raising $3000 to purchase a table at the organization's largest fundraiser, The Angel's of Hope Luncheon.  While all proceeds of this luncheon benefit Child Advocates directly by purchasing a table, the PPC is not only able to provide much needed funds, but can sponsor 8 girls from within the Child Advocates system to attend.  Area retailors and salons donate their goods and services to provide a glimpse into an alternative reality for these girls.

Please help us by either donating money outright or participating in our raffle.  July's raffle items include:  A photo package from Studio One to One Photography (tickets $5.00), a salon package from Blue Mambo (tickets $5.00) and/or 2 flight vouchers from Southwest Airlines valid for anywhere Southwest Airlines flies (tickets $25.00).  All checks should be made payable to Child Advocates, Inc.  Winners will be drawn randomly the first week of August.

Please stop by the Houston office or mail your donations to Page Parkes - ATTN:  CAI, 1535 W. Loop S. #100, Houston, TX  77027.
